LJS GROUP and Hope for Humanity Foundation partner up this may join some 200 internally displaced persons (IDP) to celebrate the 2021 edition of the World Menstrual Hygiene Day.
This day observed worldwide was an opportunity for the group to contribute her quota to ensure that those who have been displaced by the crisis in the North West and South West Regions have a basic necessity that all women need. A sanitary pad.
On this occasion, over 200 sanitary pads were distributed to these IDPS for subsequent use
The day was commemorated under the theme ‘no period shame’ distribution of sanitary pads to 200 IDPs in the Bonabome neighborhood, Bonaberi in the Douala 4 Subdivision of Cameroon.
These women and girls were also during the sensitization educated on better hygiene from a team of experts as well as free medical consultations offered them.
They were also told the options that exist if they ever ran out or did not have access to a sanitary pad to take care of themselves.
